Estimating's features include:
1) Simple to Use -- "Click-copy" screens minimize typing, and
provide check lists so you do not forget anything. You can customize the check lists so... it
does it your way.
2) Estimate with or without assemblies -- many assemblies are included
in the ArenaSoft Database and you can customize them to suite any level of
complexity including assemblies within assemblies.
3) Cost data can come from several sources, including a) your previous
estimates b) your historical records, or c) the ArenaSoft Database which
you can customize. RS Means Databases are also
available as an integrated part of the ArenaSoft Estimating System.
4) For every Quantity in the estimate, a Take-off screen can be opened
to record and calculate the items you are taking off. This enables you to
go back later and review, edit, or print out how you calculated a quantity.
Ideal for showing an Architect or Owner your estimate assumptions when
doing Conceptual or Schematic Estimates.
5) A GTCO Calcomp Digitizer
can be added to your ArenaSoft Estimating System to save time and increase
accuracy. We offer a full range of GTCO products which can be bundled with
ArenaSoft Estimating or sold separately, complete with software and great
support.
6) Allows entering completed project costs into a Historical Database--
shows the estimator the range of costs for a task, not just one cost.
7) The ArenaSoft Database is provided with construction costs for Albany
NY, and a wizard will lets you adjust
the database in a few clicks to your city’s costs! You can later customize individual
costs. You can also maintain separate
databases for each city you work in... and ArenaSoft will keep them
synchronized so all cities remain current.
8) Multi-User -- a group of estimators can all work on the same estimate
at the same time over a network. Each ArenaSoft license includes a local
copy on your hard disk as well as network rights, so laptop uses can work
away from the office and then move an estimate back onto the office server. We even have a Merge Wizard which will inteligently
combine separate estimates into one.
9) ArenaSoft Estimating exports to many Accounting Systems and Scheduling
Systems so that project management flows from your estimate without
duplication of effort. And for the ultimate in compatibility, ArenaSoft has
partnered with Foundation Accounting.
10) Predesigned reports and screens let you see all your numbers -- no
horizontal scrolling required. You may never need a custom report, but if
you do, an Excel Wizard walks you thru customized reports using Microsoft
Excel.
11) Subcontractor/Supplier bid analysis tools -- Free! Bid day analysis is integrated into our
estimating system. You can override your estimate with a Sub's bid or
Supplier's quote. Do "what if" comparisons of several
combinations of numbers to achieve the lowest bid price. A report will show
you each bid, the adjustments you made to those bids, and quick comparison
to your own estimate for that work.
12) Use the Flagged Items screen to find any blank lines or lines that
you flagged along the way. Perhaps you were missing a price at the time and
left a line blank. This screen finds those lines so you can fix them.
13) Estimating with unit prices is at the heart of what makes ArenaSoft
Estimating quick and easy. And for contractors that prefer to work with
crews, trade rates, and equipment rates, we also provide an intuitive
system for setting these up for quick access while doing an estimate. You
can even set up your rates by City and then select the City when doing an
estimate.
